David Burns

David Burns is a graduate of the Birmingham Institute of Art and Design where he studied Fine Art. He then went to De Montfort University for his PGCE course. David's work explores the exploitation of paint, and creating interest through layers. David has exhibited his work both locally and in the midlands. He has had solo shows at Nottingham castle, Harleston and Halesworth gallery. David now teaches part time at Saint Felix School in Southwold and has previously worked at South Nottinghamshire College. David has an enhanced CRB check.

Vivienne Burns

Vivienne Burns trained at Whitelands College (Roehampton Institute, London University) and gained a B.Ed. After teaching in Leicestershire for four years Vivienne entered the gift trade manufacturing screen printed modern clocks. Another spell of teaching as a visiting lecturer at Hereford College of Art, Kidderminster and GLOSCAT led her back in to full time teaching. After a year out in India Vivienne returned to live in Suffolk and during the first year back was artist in residence at Saint Felix school in Southwold where she has worked ever since. Vivienne likes to work in a variety of media, but most of her work is in oil paint and collage. Vivienne is a figurative painter and paints what is growing in the garden, portraits and designs inspired by her love of India. Vivienne exhibits her work in local galleries. Vivienne has an enhanced CRB check.
